TECHNICAL VERIFICATION
Deposit Verification gives
both parties assurance that
the escrow Deposit Materials
are complete, virus- and
defect-free and fully
functional per the testing
specifications. Upon request,
and for an additional fee, EscrowNow
will oversee the complete
technical verification
process, performed by
certified software engineers,
and provide written reports
and authentication to all
Parties of the escrow
agreement.
EscrowNow
offers the following
verification services:

Level
1 -
Visual
Analysis |
|
Visually
inspecting the
Deposit
Materials to
check that the
labeling, if any,
on the Deposit
Materials
matches the
Deposit
Inventory Form
and to check for
missing items.
For example, if
the Deposit
Inventory Form
states that four
CD ROMs are
included, but
only three are
present, then a
missing CD ROM
will be reported.
Visually
inspecting the
Deposit
Materials for
obvious physical
defects or
damage. For
example, a
damaged CD ROM.
EscrowNow
automatically
includes “Level
1” technical
verification as
a standard with
every escrow
account. |

Level
2 -
Environmental
Analysis |
|
All files are checked for
readability and scanned for
viruses. Based on the
product's "packing list",
all files are identified,
verified and given a unique
MD5-Checksum ID for internal
benchmarking or comparison
to subsequent deposit
updates. Independent,
written verification of the
inventory is reported to all
Parties. |

Level 3 -
Compilation |
|
This level of technical
verification is necessary to
ensure that the deposited
materials can be compiled in
a clean room environment. In
addition to the test results
from the Environmental
Analysis verification, in
this Compilation level of
verification EscrowNow
will document all source
files and module compilation
procedures, identify
hardware and configuration
information, and create a
listing of software and
operating environments
necessary to compile code.
After verifying that all of
the components are part of
the deposit we are then able
to do a successful build.
This includes all Level 1
and 2 verification and
acceptance procedures.

Level
4 -
Installation |
|
For the this
level of
verification,
EscrowNow will
install the
newly compiled
software onto a
third machine
similar to what
the client is
using.
Additionally,
EscrowNow
will perform a
verification
test of the
product's major
functionality to
ensure that it
has been
properly
installed. This
includes all
Level 1, 2 and 3
verification and
acceptance
procedures. |

Level 5 -
Comparison |
|
This level of technical
verification will test all
of the functions of the
newly compiled code. EscrowNow
invites your quality
assurance manager to our
verification lab for a day
in order to test the
software's functionality.
This includes all Level 1,
2, 3 and 4 verification and
acceptance procedures.
